I've only had my 3955 for a
few days and I have a couple questions.
Sometimes when I synch it thinks I'm a guest. Other times it
recognizes me. Why is this? Is there a sequence I should follow that
I'm not?
Second: I have no trouble synching my e-mail to my ipaq, but many
messages (maybe they're the HTML-formatted messages) only show the
headings. Is there a setting I haven't used?
Third: As I am a writer, I wasted no time downloading the textmaker
beta version. However, I open up TM, open a Word 2000 doc, convert it
to the TMD format, move it to my PPC documents file but when I synch,
I can't get it to my Ipaq.
Anybody know why?
Finally, I'm looking for a case. I want one that offers protection
against bumps and drops, allows access to all ports and functions,
and opens from the top (if possible). Any case experiences?
Thanks in advance.
Joel

In answer to your first question, do you always wait until the host system is completely booted and logged in before you place the ipaq on the cradle?

Third question -- I am very happy with the Compaq Premier Leather Case, Product # 253504-B21 -- it offers great protection for the naked ipaq. It opens like a book, but the top and bottom areas are completely open and accessible.

Answer to second question #2: go to inbox / tools / options / click on your service / (you enter email setup step 1/4) hit next / hit next (email setup step 2/4)/ hit next (step 3/4)/ hit next (step 4/4) / press options tab/ hit next (advanced setup step 1/3) / hit next (advanced step 2/3) / choose "get full copy of messages" and message size limit below/ click next / click finish and you're all set.

Answer to Q #4: The best cases probably are the vaja cases (kind of expensive though). You can check them at: www.vajacases.com

Hope these help.
