I use outlook to syc with my Psion. I tend to have overlaping appointments a lot, generally regular appointments which I then over type on. The Psion does not appear to pick these up and does not merge teh two. Any ideas. Thanks

Nigel,

I'm not quite clear on what you're doing. If you have two appointments, both in the same time slot, and delete one and change the other, PsiWin should pick up the deleted one but might get confused about the remaining appointment since it's in the same time slot as the two previous appointments. Outlook itself can also cause this problem since it has problems handling overlapping appointments. In general, it's a good idea not have overlapping appointments with the same start and end time. If you have to overlap an appointment, change one so it starts five minutes after the first appointment and you'll find the syncing will be more accurate.

I believe that the latest version of PsiWin addresses some of these problems with synching with Outlook.

there is an 'email sync update 1.1' available from Psion. Do you have this installed? I'm not certain it will fix your issue, but its a recommended update nevertheless.

Which version of Outlook are you running? I have Outlook 98 with PsiWin 2.3.3 and do not have that problem - I can get duplicate timed appointments.

May I thank every one for responding. i htink it may be helpful if I give a little more detail.

I use Outlook 2000. I have a number of fixed appointments egg day in firm A day at Firm b etc. Within that day i have a number of tasks or appointments. It is this that never gets transfered.

I am grateful for your sugestions but any other imput would be great.

Nigel,

Sorry, but I'm still confused. You have appointments with one firm while you're at another firm? And these appointments overlap each other? If so, how do you do two things at the same time? I don't understand if this is an Outlook or time managment issue.
