I'm thinking about buying a wifi-enabled pda, but I won't be able to access at the wifi network at work.
Here's the situation: My wireless notebook is configured by the IT staff with the WEP key. When I look at the settings, the key is encrypted--I only see *****. The reason I can't use the palm is that they don't want to give anyone the WEP key.
Is there a way (on a Palm or PPC) to encrypt the WEP key so that the user cannot see it? That way, I could give it to the IT guys, they would put in the key so it would work on the corporate network, and I wouldn't be able to see what the key was.
