My opinion of the WM2003 upgrade for AXIM:
(1) DEFINATELY worth the wait
Very noticable speed improvement with PXA250 B2 Stepping
WMP Version 9 is EXCELLENT. Much smoother and the WIFI section of MS Pocket Media offers impressive full screen streams.
PIE improvement is also very noticable.
CONNMGR is again a vast improvement.
(2) Overall, there are many subtle changes with the conversion from PPC2002 to WM2003 that I find suprisingly nice.
Obviously, my opinion . . . but I feel it's worth the wait. The improvements are noticable and real.
NOTE:
The upgraded is seamless SO LONG AS YOU ARE PREPARED to restore EVERYTHING from scratch. (PPC2002 AXIM backup and Activesync are NOT compatible with WM2003).
(Obviously, re-syncing Outlook data will restore your PIM information, or you can use Dell's recommended "dragging" method to copy all files to PC for upload after the upgrade).
