What program do you use to take those screenshots, and where could I get it? Thanks! ZiLT 09-26-2003, 08:03 AM The browser was from another post for a upgrage for a HP PDA. You do the install and then cancel it and just grap that browser.prc. I knew the post was gonna get removed when I seen it, So I grab it right away. The browser does work, just can't remember where I got it from, and if I did, this would probably be removed also. The program that I use to connect is called Softick from http://www.softick.com/ppp/ It connects you to the net through your cradle and then to your pc that is running softick. GpsPasSion 09-27-2003, 07:30 AM I've wasted the best part of an hour trying to find a screenshot app that works...thanks for the links above, but can you tell us which one YOU used? Bobny 09-27-2003, 07:49 AM Hi, The program that will save a screen shot painlessly is ScreenShot5 2.0. It works with Palm OS 5.0 and allows you to assign any button to save a screen (no hacks required with OS 5). Upon a sync, the screenshot is automatically upload to your PC in jpeg format. I've taken dozens of screenshots with the program, it works. GpsPasSion 09-27-2003, 07:59 AM Thanks but I can't seem to find the saved files and just copy them to my PC and it costs $11 which is ok but I bit expensive to take 10 odd screenshots. HR Capt seems to work under OS5 but I can't seem to be able to trigger it from DALauncher via a button. PS - Do I know you from somewhere ;-) Bobny 09-27-2003, 08:32 AM Screenshot5 can be found here. (http://linkesoft.com/screenshot/screenshot5.html) Version 2.0 works with Palm 5 OS. It lets you assign a hot key to trigger a screenshot and then upon a sync will automatically upload the images you've taken to the PC in jpeg format. The program can be switched on and off so you don't use up a hot key all the time. Nothing could be simplier. I've taken dozens of screenshots including while the iQue was tracking on a route, no problems. I haven't tried other programs since this one works with OS5 without a hack (for the hot key). I'm sure there must be other good screenshot programs that I haven't tried but this one works on the iQue. On your question about me, I've posted on GSP Passion under the name Bob and did the screenshots on that site using ScreenShot5. GpsPasSion 09-27-2003, 09:25 AM Right, thanks again for the screenshot on GpsPasSion! I tried it a bit more and you're right it's very easy. Installing the conduit transfers the pics automatically to your desktop and deletes them on the iQue. I prefer to use .bmp and then convert to .gif, same size as .jpg (maybe even better) and no loss in quality. sred 09-30-2003, 06:33 PM Where can I download the "Groceries" program that you are using? Shown here: Groceries (http://members.litenet.net/zzz/ique27.jpg) ZiLT 09-30-2003, 06:40 PM That is Splashshopper from Splashdata. http://www.splashdata.com/splashshopper/index.htm reinbeau 09-30-2003, 07:55 PM Originally posted by sred Where can I download the "Groceries" program that you are using? It manages much more than shopping lists, too; there's a yahoo group here (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/handyshopper/) where you can download starter lists and get other ideas. Error94 10-01-2003, 10:02 AM A second vote for HandyShopper. One of the best freeware Palm apps out there. One thing that isn't obvious from the download page is that like SplashShopper, HandyShopper also has (free third-party) desktop editors, so you don't have to set up all your lists on the iQue. Links to them are here: http://snapbag.com/~flux/hs/desktop.html PDA Street
