Find - > Address does not work

I setup a second iQue 3600 for a friend with the proper map unlock code. The detailed maps work. The Find -> Points of Interest work. But the Find -> address fails and says: can not find.

Help!!

You need to make sure you have the right maps loaded. I experienced the same problem. I was in Atlanta and was trying to find an address in Greensboro NC. I had to select the Greensboro map before it could locate the address I was looking for.

It seems like the active map is based upon your current active location.

See my comments elsewhere. But I think I had the same problem. I re-installed my basemaps on my SD card along with my regions. This I did with instruction from Garmin tech support. It now works perfectly!

I do not have them word for word, but it was something like this:
I formatted the SD card.
Removed the main garminsupp file (or something like that) from the unit by deleting it.
Got the main software install disk and wen to the basmap installation selection tab and selected world map(to SD card because it is big) and installed them with the palm sync.
After that I went to map install and selected the regions I need and designated them to be installed to the SD upon the next palm sync.
It worked!
