Hi, My E-105's touch panel recently got cracked, and now malfunctions. I did some searching, and found www.globalproducts.com
Now, what I am asking is, is there any major digitizer difference between the E-105 and the E-115/125/EM-500?
Because:
At their website:
http://www.globalproducts.com/product.asp?parent=3&sku=10003145&id=02083322208255128595717
E-115/125/EM-500 Touch panel for $28.00
but,
http://www.globalproducts.com/product.asp?parent=3&sku=33356844&id=02083322208255128595717
E-100/105 Touch Panel for $44.50!!!
Now, Ive read that aside from the new ROM, the 115 is identical to the 105? Is this true? Can I safely get the 115 digitizer for my 105?

As per their current listing all the touch panels are the same :
E-100,105,115,125,EM-500. There is a difference in the LCDs though.
The part number is ...
10003145 PANNEL/TOUCH KTB97B002A
You have to watch out for one middle of the production run change though. The track side of the connector was changed from the top to the bottom side. The old type is no longer available. With the new touch screen you just might have to also change the mating connector on the main board. This is also available from the parts department.
Hope this helps.

Parts department? Where? Could I just fold over the tracks so that it would connect?

First of all you may not have sufficient length on the tab to fold over & still reach the connector.
Secondly you will be doubling the thickness of the portion that is supposed to go inside the connector. It just might be too much & crack the connector when you slide the latch tab home in which case you will be in deeper hole.
I have received a message from one person who has managed this but he happened to be a notebook repair technician by profession.

Would it be possible to just scratch off the thin layer of plastic overlaying the conductors?
And you said something about an adapter from the 'parts department'... Where could I get one?

If you have the old type of connetor you would have to change the mating connector on the main board.
The spares sale department should be able to supply it to you . Iam assuming that you are in Northe America.
Look for the serial number of the E-105 device.
it should be some thing like ......
J530EAx-0A...... or J530EAx-1A......
Value of x is country code & doesn't matter.
If it is 0A it is the old type , 1A means new type.
In case of the old type you will also need the following ....
Part # : 35022644
Description : Connector
Specification # : 52271-0490
Hope this helps.
