Hi forum,
I just got the Sony Clie modem for my N760C and so far it won't connect over the phone line. I did get it to sync via USB with my laptop (a small victory!) which shows that the modem actually functions, but....
I am trying to connect to my local ISP and the modem gets to "dialing [isp name]" then it says "retrying" then fails, giving me a bland "modem not found (Ox1106)" message.
I haven't called my ISP bc I fear their ignorance of PDAs will just waste my time. Yet I'm thinking maybe the initialization string isn't right. I'm in Japan and the instructions give the init string, which I have entered.
Where should I start? Any and all advice welcome!
