As my 5mx CF card was getting a bit slow after years of use (and abuse ;o) with loads of files and emails, I decided to delete everything and then do a restore using PsiWin. I thought that only the very latest state of my Psion directory would be restored from my PC.
To my horror I discovered that all sort of long deleted folders and files (including old emails and attachments) were now brought back into my Psion cramming it up with unwanted data. I used the latest bakup files from my PC but these seem to include data from previous backups!?
Although I have manually deleted most of the unwanted files from my Psion, I have not ventured into the Mail directory because it is HUUUUGE! Of course, the mail index is the most up to date file and it does not show all the older, previously deleted emails and attachments, to allow me to delete these from within Email.
Would you know if it is possible to restore only the most recent state of my Psion, using backed up data from the PC and how to do that? Alternatively, is there a way of clearing out the garbage from my Mail directory.
Any advice much appreciated.
