slow web and email

Hi

I tried to use the mail and weebapplications last nigth but found borth programs to be the slowest I have ever tried on a PSion (series 5) Does itt have to be like this(slow I mean). I think the options and flexibility is great but webbrovsing goes so slow I almost thougth I wassnt connected half the time. Are there other programs that run faster? How does Opera perform compared to Psions own "Web"? Are ther other mail programs?

I don't find them extremely slow. I use a 56K modem and depending on line quality, it works fine. I have also used a 33.6 and it works ok also. I find it about the same on Web and Opera. You might check you line quality or even try a soft reset and see what happens. I have had it, very seldom however, slow or kind of stuck, and a soft reset cleared it. Might be a thought.

Well, my 5mx seems quite slow when used to render tables in Opera or Web even with high speed connections (I typically get 45k at least with my 56k modem).

E-Mail has never been slow, though I do find that it tends to get 'stuck' if I have Opera running in the background.

Thats good if you can get 45K, as the best that I can get is about 28K from here on my PC, so I would assume its about the same with my Psion. Its becuase of the phone lines and not my computers. So at these speeds, I don't see any real slowing in speed.
