sync zire 71

I bought a zire 71 and i try to sync it with my G4
I had already a visor before
I uninstalled first palm
and then reinstalled it
it work once but quit in the middle
and now it doesnt work at all
i did a hard initialisation
(i've lost datas !)
and tried again
SOS !!
(same old shit)

the button doesn't work
going to the hot sync on the zire doesnt work
synchronising on the mac doesnt either
I'm lost
