There should be more once people start getting the new handhelds. http://www.brighthand.com/article/Hands_On_The_Palm_Tungsten_E http://www.mobileslash.com/cms_view_article.php?aid=13 Edit: Here's another one. http://www.**********.com/default.asp?newsID=1651&showComments=true knightsog 10-16-2003, 01:16 AM This is the one that sold me: <http://www.computingunplugged.com/issues/issue200310/00001107001.html> Telyx 10-16-2003, 07:23 AM I got poking around VersaMail and saw it has attachment capabilities--if you get an e-mail with a .prc or .pdb attachment, it will automatically install them! If I'm at work and see an app or e-book or something interesting on a download site, I can download it, e-mail the .prc or .pdb to myself at home, retrieve the e-mail via cellphone/Tungsten E, and install the file. Cool! (We run Win NT 4 here, and though our computers have USB ports, NT doesn't support them. Boo!) This screen does blow me away, especially after a Visor Deluxe (streaky photos) and a Palm m125 (no streaks, but itty bitty screen and 40-year-old eyes don't mix well). Even with the backlight dimmed all the way, it's plenty bright. Hawking 11-02-2003, 09:48 PM Originally posted by Telyx retrieve the e-mail via cellphone/Tungsten E, and install the file. According to Palm, the T|E doesnt support Bluetooth cards. How are you connecting it to your phone? IR? Telyx 11-03-2003, 06:53 AM The T/E DOES support Bluetooth cards--the slot is SDIO-enabled--the E just doesn't have Bluetooth built in. I don't have a BT phone or card, though--I use my cellphone and link the E to it by infrared, and dial up to Earthlink. Hawking 11-03-2003, 02:11 PM According to PalmOne tech support, the T|E doesn not support bluetooth. The card will certainly fit, and the possibility is there for it to work, but there are no drivers for the card yet. It just won't do anything. The driver app that comes with the card is only for OS4 devices. At least that's what they tell me. I hope you're right though, I ordered a BT card for my T|E and USB dongle for the PC. It should be here today or tomorrow. I fear that the PalmOne guys are right when they say it won't work (although you never can trust the info you get from them). -Hawk Hawking 11-04-2003, 07:49 PM Well, my bluetooth card showed up today. I installed the required software and read through the manuals. There is no mention of the T|E anywhere. No compatiability list per se. The unit accepts the card (under card info it shows as a bluetooth card). Unfortunatly, any time a bluetooth application is run, I get an error message stating "Bluetooth Library not found". I checked to see if it was in memory and it was. I think that OS5 just doesn't recognise it. I guess I'll have to wait till the drivers are released. -Hawk Telyx 11-05-2003, 08:26 AM Oh, poop. Sorry for the bogus information! I thought I'd read that it did support BT but just didn't have it built in. PDA Street
