what does PIM mean?

by the way, i've seen in a thread that T/E has a great sound volume, does anybody know if T/T2 sounds louder than zire 71 and as loud as T/E? (with headphones/earphones of course)

thankss

pim stands for personal information manager.

if you go to the tungsten|e part of the www.palm.com website, and click on improved pim, youll see what im talking about. its so cool!

and as far as i know, only the zire 71 has lower volumes, t, t2 and t3 should have decent volumes. personally i dont find the volume lacking, i use realone, and sony headphones.

The T|E is loud, very loud! I was listening to tunes using RealOne Player at 20$ volume, and the system sound were blowing me away. Unfortunately, the battery life on the T|E is horrible, and the 5-way navigator is crap. I returned it and will spend a little more for a Zire 71.

I use AeroPlayer to listen to MP3s, and it has a volume boost feature built in.

It works well, because I keep the slider at about 30-50% volume and it sounds great. Between the 80-100% range blows my ears out.

Also, a good headset helps. The lightweight earphones made my Sony work great - since they actually sit inside the ear, probably makes volume seem louder.

The Sony S2 Sports in-the-ear set that I now use is slightly louder than my Radio Shack Titanium set.

There are headphones these days that got noise cancelling system. I think sony and panasonic got the best noise cancelling system as the rubber part actually goes into your ear canal (not totally, just a little bit). And the ruby plug seals outside noise away. The only draw back is the price, they are around $70 USD a pair ~_~

Hey XeonRebel:

My brother has a T | T2 while i have a Z71 and they both have the same volume level. The headphones you use make a big difference on the volume level.
