I've been assigned the harrowing task of getting several users on Pocket PC's to be able to open and enter data into a shared DB on a server. I've been perusing the available technology/software and haven't yet found anything that fits the bill quite yet.
Basically, I'm looking at this: I'll have a single Win2K server at each site, and between 1 and 5 users on iPaq's (or similar device) who will all need to access and modify a database on the server in realtime. They're all be connected via 802.11b.
I considered Filemaker and FM mobility, but they require syncing. Same with Pocket Access. I'm evaluating Motiva now, but I'm not sure it will do what I require either.
I would not even be opposed to creating a MySQL database and writing a PHP webpage and serving that to the PDA's.
Has anyone else had to solve this problem?

Thanks, that comes very close to what I may need. I'll have to play with it.

I was browsing "How to Do Everything With Your iPAQ Pocket PC" and there is a section on DBs and lists several pieces of software. The ISBN number is 0072223332.

Greetings;

Nitestrike I purchased "How to Do Everything With Your iPAQ Pocket PC" to help me on this site and the amount of info is amzing. There are sections that walk you thru how to set up wireless cards. It's a must if your into iPAQs.
