Thanks pmshah 10-03-2002, 09:35 PM I wonder why one would want to brose a website on the small screen of the PDA when already connected to the PC. What you can do however is create mobile channels, save the files & copy them to the PDA for off line browsing. What you need is Foliage software's iBrowser. It does not support frames in the normal sense although each frame can be viewed as an independent page. Then, with the aforementioned iBrowser, while you are sync'ed, just put in the Proxy IP and Port in the iBrowser setting. If you got it right, you should be able to surf the net! okachirs 10-16-2002, 01:58 PM I have tried using E-100 with a Linksys wireless card. Software installs OK and I get the AP signal, but IP address, gateway, etc are not configured. I tried manually adding values in the registry for a TcpIp key - but IP defaults to 127.0.0.1 and doesn't like fixed values for some reason. The same card (with same software) works beautifully on E-125. Anyone has had any problems like this? pmshah 10-16-2002, 08:48 PM 127.0.0.1 is loopback IP address for the purpose of either checking / testing the prsence of an ethernet card or for connecting to any software running on the same machine. You cannot change this !!! My past experience with LinkSys is not too hot when it comes to drivers. You will need one for Ce2.x for mips. You might even need add on files for ethernet support which were not included since Windows CE services version 2.0x. Before you can connect to the lan you MUST first establish the partnership with your PC through serial cradle & synchonise at least once. You can then insert your ethernet card, go to the settings for the Ethernet card & selct /set necessary parameters like host machine name & gateway IP address; wins sever etc. Next go to settings activesynch / PC on the device & select the ethernet card . Set your TCP/IP by selecting the manually set IP address & feed in your choice of IP address. Please note that if you use both the E-100 & E-125 you must select different IP addresses on the 2 devices. Hope this helps. PDA Street
