Aaight. Right now I'm a PALM user. However, I have a very old grayscale Palm and I really want a new one soon.
I'm thinking about the Zire71 for a Palm: $399 canadian
and the HP IPAQ 1935 for a Pocket PC: $299 canadian
The IPAQ is intriguing to me because of its resemblance of a PC. Just a handheld PC. :)
I sorta want Games so what games can I put on it? Just flash games? Or others? If so, what kind?
Are there a lot of programs for PocketPC? If so what kind?
Also, it seems that PocketPC does NOT have graffiti.. so the only way to enter text is by tapping the letters? (..seems to take a LONG time compared to graffiti where I can write.)
Hows the particular IPAQ?
Thanks guys
-Andrew

There are all kinds of games and programs availible. Just search the net. Pocket PC has 4 ways to enter text. You can use a onscreen keyboard, a block reconizer (let's you imput a letter at a time by just drawing the letter in a single stroke), a leter reconizer (let's you imput letters by writting them just as you would on paper), and Transcriber which lets you write full words or sentences in cursive or print.

I can answer some of your questions. To learn more about available software go to www.handango.com.

Are there a lot of programs for PocketPC? If so what kind? Most programs available for Palm are available for PPC now. If not available now they eventually are

PPC has a handwriting recognition software. As you write directly on the screen, it transcribes what you wrote into text. It works decently. There is also a graffiti version that works similar to Palm.
Hows the particular IPAQ?This I don't know. I have a 2215 that I love
Thanks guys

Like you I "WAS" a Palm user but have handed back my Tungsten T for a H5550. Very inpresed! Even the lower models have PPC2003 so would opt for the HP unit. Not had time to teach it letter recognition so am goint to teach it grafity, LOL ;)
