James Miller and I have been working on a solution for the problem we created when of losing the knowledged contained in the old forums.
We are going to make the archives available for searching but not for posting. However, I don't think that really solves the problem. There is also a lot of outdated information there.
I think there is a better way to provide this knowledge to people so that they don't have to sift through dozens of messsages to find an answer.
The idea is to use the many posts contained there as the founation for a new knowledge base that will exist as a permanent feature of PDAstreet. We would do this in a Q&A format that is separate form the message boards. And then we'll keep updating it, using new information learned here.
Obviuosly, this is a big job and we need to hire a few individuals for this project. The pay won't be lavish, but we will pay so we can ensure that it is done well.
I hope that people who are familiar with the old boards would be interested in signing up for this. If you are, drop me a line at gvenditto@internet.com
