Am wondering whether the Ipaq 3970 (with bluetooth) and the Ipaq GSM/GPRS modem/phone sleeve will support a bluetooth headset for phone communications. Would appreciate some guidance before I purchase.

Thanks,
Michael

Have answer...It does not work. Have purchased the Ipaq 3970 and GSM/GPRS Wireless expansion pack. According to Compaq help desk, there is no way to transfer sound to the Bluetooth headset...even though the two devices can be paired/bonded.

Also...so far no luck getting GPRS to register....

I have had trouble finding info on what the Ipaq GSM/GPRS Wireless expansion pack will do for me. Basically I want to convert my IPAQ 3970 into a cell phone. I don't know much about GSM/GPRS so I would like to know where I can get more info. I am Canadian so anyone with experience with cell phone plan info for Canada would be of particular interest.

Will an IPAQ equipped with a GSM/GPRS Wireless expansion pack function like a regular phone? I live in a rural area where cell phone service crappy, will the expansion pack allow me to switch over to analog or regular digital cell mode? What is the advantage of GSM/GPRS over regular cell phone technology? I really don't care much about surfing online I just don't want to carry a cell phone and a PDA around.

Is there any hope for a SD slot based (secure digital) cell phone/ GSM/GPRS gadget in the near future? I have seen the Sierra air cards however I don't like the flimsy antenna. I want to be able to flip my IPAQ phone into my pocket without breaking the antenna.
