OK, I have got the handheld setup and got some things to work. One thing is not working though - installing a new app. I downloaded a .prc file, chose the file in the install on the desktop and hotsynched...it looks like it is not doing anything for the install. The app does not show up in the unfiled category and the log shows no mention of installing anything.
I checked the installation conduit and that seems to be OK. What 'turns on' the installation component of the hotsynch?
Thanks

I do not know how your hot sync is set up, but may be this will help. Click on the hot sync icon on your computer. Click custom, and check your conduit file, and make sure install is "enabled" It may be checked, do nothing. Hope that helps. Guitar Picker.

Are you using the New Palm Desktop with the drag and drop Install?
In general if you download a Palm compatable file such as a .prc and you double click on it the Palm install tool should pop up and either show it in line ready to install on the next hotsync or ask you what hotsync ID to install to if you have more than one.

Haven't tried the new drag and drop...this was done using by clicking on the install icon and then going to choose the file.
I decided to just delete the app from the download directory and then re-select it. For whatever reason this time it installed fine (and others after it). Somehow the file must have been corrupted in the download directory.
Thanks for all the replies!
