I have a Netbook now with an etherneth card. But like in the manual i do not have an ethernet option in the control panel.

Only the latest release 158 has the ethernet options. This contains Opera as the default web browser, java support and ethernet support. Downloading the OS is free, although you may need to register (also free). If you need any other info, please post it here.
