Isn't there a built-in mp3 player on the treo 600?
I've downloaded pocket tunes demo and it works well, but I thought there was something built in?
Any ideas?

I just got my Treo 600 and after registering it, they sent me Ptunes. I don't think there is a built in player.

Did you get pTunes registered for free or just the demo?
pTunes works a treat doesn't it!
Thanks

The about ptunes says:
Pocket Tunes
Version 2.0.4 Basic
This Treo 600 Version from handspring includes all 2.x updates, FREE!
So I guess its a registered version.
PTunes ROCKS! And the Treo600 speaker sounds amazingly good!

No Problem.
You also have to order the headphone adapter, right?

Do you already have that? Mine is in the mail as I write.
What about your SMS does it work?

The headphones adapter likes to fall out, which sucks! It doesn't lock properly in the headphones socket, it's a stupid hard plastic 'L' shape instead of a little cable which would be better.
SMS says this service willbe available soon when I try to send myself an email, I use SnapperMail though instead. Receiving works though

Damn. That doesn't sound good. maybe I'll search for an aftermarket adapter.
I'm using the eudora suite myself on the advice of Sprint. But I'll have to check out snappermail.
Take care.

My wife got and registered my Handspring while I was deployed, and she got the PTunes software. Still trying to figure out how I put music on it -- thinking I have to store MP3 files on an SD card...
