I have been using the conectivity program (2.3.3) for some months very successfully syncing with outlook, but recently I have the message:

"Can't sychronize 'c:\...\Synchro\Synchronization.es~' because it is in use."

I have re-installed the software twice and removed all the psion registry entries I can find.

Any clues would be appreciated

Have you tried a soft reset of your Psion? The usual warnings about a soft reset apply (ie. there is a small risk of loosing data, so make a backup first, even if you have to do it manually).

Many thanks for the try, but no change. The problem is that the software is reporting that the pc file is in use.

Have you actually used the registry cleaner utility? If not, I recommend you try running this before performing yet another reinstallation of PsiWin.

You can also try just deleting the current syncronization tasks in PsiWin and setting up new synchronization tasks. For some reason, a sync task will get hosed up and the easiest way to deal with is just delete it and set up a new one.

I'd recommend that you set up a separate task for each of the apps, e.g., Agenda, Anniversaries, and To-do's. Run each of these to see if there's still a problem and, if so, which app is causing the problem.

Hi all,

Thanks for all the advice. I have tried the removal tool, which still left psion entries in the registry. I removed them manually. I removed all files to do with psion from my hard disk, I tried selecting individual events to sync. All with the same result. I will now try the program on a new XP install.
