www.kinoma.com
Player is FREE
It's stereo
It supports online video streaming
and also supports DivX
http://www.kinoma.com/upgrade.html Kinoma producer upgrades link
Has anyone tried it out??? If so, what are the opinions.....??
This version offers more than the first two versions. It's worth the $20 upgrade. But do it before 11-15-03 then it goes to $30. It's nice doing a video in 440x280 landscape at 30 fps.

IMO: I have installed the new Player 2, is pretty cool!
The buttons looks great, also playing an old video i can see more contrast, better image. Nice improvements, a transition like DOS 6.22 to win 3.0 :D

Another CONGRATULATION for Kinoma team,
they add SEND MEDIA for every file, so you can use Bluetooth/Versamail etc. now, not only the damn BEAM

How can I transfer files into my iQue to be played with this Kinoma? I'm lost here. How do I convert let's say one of my DVD's? I have a 512MB card so can I fit a single movie & if so how do I do it?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

You'll need to "rip" the DVD to your PC. I've never done that so hopefully someone here has and can give you the know how to do it. Once you have your movie on your PC and if it's one of the file formats that Kinoma converts then you just use Kinoma Producer to convert the movie over to Kinoma's format. Then use a card reader to transfer the movie to your card. Put the movie in the Palm/Launcher folder. You'll need Kinoma Player v2.0 also, that's free.

1.Check you DVD file size normally it is 4.7GB
2.Rip your DVD on PC using videoediting software(soft ware SHOULd be able to convert to kinoma producer supported format.divx..mpeg.avi .mov or qt file format (i use novavideoexplosion deluxe)
3.Save you file as Quicktime format i.e .mov or .qt
4.Open Kinoma producer and assign destination(desktop or any folder)
5.Specify you default mode set for tungsten full screen mode and stereo audio
6.Click convert
SD card reader/writer is an ABSOLUTE requirement to transfer such convereted kinoma.pdb large files onto SD card
I very much doubted the whole 4.7 GB DVD will fit 512MB SD
Good luck!

lol some of u are easily pleased its a nice GUI fair enough but the encoder they use is a Fat azzed out dated piece of crap, its lazy pure and simple I have a 5 meg divx trailer running on my T3 that kinoma would take 40 meg to come close to in quality and even then it would probably crash.
Kinoma Blows:cool:
Divx + mmplayer ownz
