Iīve just tried the Java based web browser (Grand Rapid, see grandrapid.com) on my series 7.
It seems better then Opera, a bit slower maybe, but so far it does things better then my Opera 5.14.
(my test is to read email , by accessing a Lotus Notes webmail interface, which is very java(script?) intensive.)
So far Iīm positively surprised by this thing.
I had to search google to find the right download. GrandRapid.com requires (free) registration and they do not respond real fast....
Donīt install the EPOC version, I think itīs only for the 9210. But the basic version (GrandRapid_v1.0.zip) will work nicely. Unzip it (on your PC, unzipping will run out of memory on your Psion) to e.g. /grandrapid.
Next move all the files which are in /grandrapid/lib, to /System/Java/Lib/ext. Start eshell and run the browser by issuing the command : jave -cd /grandrapid BrowserStart . Bingo.
