I have a HP iPaq 5450 (PPC 2003) using bluetooth the connect through a Sony Ericcson T68i via AT&T GPRS and all works well.

I am able to connect to the VPN fine (as far as the server logs show) and no error on PPC end.

I'm unable to ping anything on my network (but it doesn't ping when using cradle and pass through either). My IMAP connection fails through VPN and when I look at IP settings it doesn't show the correct IP...it's always one higher than the IP it grabs from the server.

So it seems to connect but IP routing not working at all.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

When I set up my VPN/IMAP4 connections for our corporate network (PPTP/Win2k), I had to disable software compression.

As a general note: You should be able to ping most devices (workstations) on your network after you connect with VPN.

I don't quite understand what you mean with the IP being one higher. Can you provide a table along these lines:

IP address of iPAQ / T68i interface: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
IP address of VPN connection: yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy
etc.

and tell me what the "one higher" is?
