I use my 3955 at work where I sync with my Dell Latitude. I've had my ipaq for a little less than a month now and things have worked fine. Then this morning I arrived at work, started up my Dell, and put my ipaq in the cradle. However, I did not get the twin tones from my ipaq and the Dell. When I tried to click on the ActiveSync icon on my ipaq nothing happens, almost as if it no longer exists on the 3955. Has anybody had this happen? Any solutions as to getting the 3955 and Dell to communicate again?

PS The latest version of ActiveSync is on my Dell

I have a 3835. I've had one occassion when I couldn't get the ipaq to start syncing with my desktop. To fix it I rebooted my computer and did a soft reset on the ipaq. See if that helps.

ActiveSync is a bloody toy. It often fails. Emergengy measure (total lobotomy) is to bring up task mgr and kill wcesmsg and wcescomm then restart them. They live in "Program files\Microsoft ActiveSync".
