I might be missing something obvious if so sorry. As I remember from when I used the old OS whenever I did a soft reset (using restart freeware and sysback) the auto switch off setting stayed the same as I set them 3 minutes. Now when I do a soft reset (use resetplus freeware great program) the auto switch off reverts back to 30minutes every time. It is a small thing and not a real problem now I know about it and remeber to change the setting, just curious as to why it happens now and didn't before and if there is a way round it so there is one less thing to think about.

Thanks for the reply Zolee I remember the bit about the IR problem when set to more than 30minutes, not sure what your reply is saying about where I lose my auto switch of time setting, and how it was not present in the old OS and if there is a way round it in the new one. I am running the excellent alarmplus and resetplus, but when I do a reset I still lose my auto switch of time with it reverting to the default of 30mins
Since build 370, the default switch-off time is 30 minutes, whereas it was 3 minutes previously. A soft reset will set this back to its default from whatever you have set it to, thus asoft reset is returning the value to its new default of 30 minutes.
