Axim Backup battery?

What's the deal with the Axim backup battery?

I just replaced it a couple weeks and my PDA has been in its cradle for the entire 2 weeks. Just removed it once or twice a day to check some contacts. Maybe been out of its cradle for a total of 10 mins in two weeks. But the backup battery is already down to 70%! Did I get a bum unit?

Also, is there any way to turn off the warning when the backup battery runs low? I don't want to spend $$$ for a hardly-used backup battery but the warning msg keeps popping up every few secs.

The issue is with the ROM software. Go to the Dell website and download the patchs and this problem will go away. We have had a number of these with the same problem (Mine included) and the fix worked.

Note: you must back your system up before you start this process or you WILL lose your data. When the upgrade is finished you can do a restore and this should be all there is to it.
