can not access start menu 3850

I have a 3850 and when I click on start to bring up the start menu, the menu flashs, but does not remain on the screen. I then tried the iTask button but it is not working. I've soft rebooted several times. Any thoughts?

You probably only have two choices.

1.Cradle your ppc and use desktop explorer to look for missing or corrupt files.

2. Do a hard reset.

if its a hardware problem instead of software you might have a touchscreen problem so that when you open the start menu it closes right away because it interpets your single tap as two taps (thus opening and closing the menu in quick succession).

You might also check the number of links in the Windows\Start Menu directory. If there are more than ten *.lnk files you could try moving some to the Programs folder.
