m100 loses charge FAST!

Hey, All!

My 3 year old m100 has just started killing its batteries. I change the batteries and 4-5 days later we're completely dead.

I know that I've gotten my money's worth out of it but I was planning on passing it along to a cousin but I can't if the battery situation isn't resolved.

Anyone have any idea why this is happening?

I'm guessing that the backup capacitor failed in a shorted condition. Do you lose data when you change batteries? There is no cheap cure.

Perhaps you can find a used or refurbished unit somewhere e.g. eBay. If you are good with repair, you can search for an m100 with a busted screen (cheap), and swap in your good screen.
