Best way to transfer data to new PDA

Hi,

I upgraded from an PalmIIIxe to the Sony Clié SL10.

Now I wonder what's the best way to transfer my data from the old device to the new one.

It doesn't make sense (and it doesn't seem to be possible) to install the Palm Desktop twice.

Should I Hotsync with the same user name?

Or is it preferable to make a clean installation. But what about addresses, memos etc.?

Are there any problems with the high resolution screen and older software?

If you still have your old Palm you can Beam the data to your new unit ( Addresses, Memo's, etc. ) or sync your new unit with the old desktop using your user name. ( delete the old desktop afterword & install the new).
I prefer Beaming so I can be more selective.
Most of your old software should still work on the new unit.
