When I BACKUP using the Backup Plus card with my T3 eveything works, but when I use the RESTORE function I get the following FATAL ALERT:

"DataMgr.c,Line:7399,
DmWrite:Dm WriteCheck
failed"

I have done 2 hard resets, and have installed a backup folder that was working prior to the Fatal Alerts. Anyone have any ideas about what may be causing the crash?...Thanks!

As with all Fatal Alerts on a Palm, it's likely due to incompatible software.

Try this:
1. Hotsync.

2. Hard Reset your Palm.

3. Move your Backup folder to another location.
(C:\Palm\your user folder\Backup OR C:\Program Files\Palm\your user folder\Backup)

4. Hotsync.

5. Insert your backup card and back up the current information you have on your Palm.

6. Now restore what you have from that backup card. If you don't get a fatal alert, then that means when you were getting the error previously, an incompatible program was backed up on the card.

If you still get the Fatal Alert, then it may be something wrong with the Palm or the Backup card.

Good luck...

Thanks, I'll try those steps, but if it was a software compatibility problem why did it not effect the functioning of my Palm? There was never a problem with the software (ie 5 apps) until I used the backup card. Anyway, I'll try your suggestions, and let you know. Thanks again!
