Hi There !!!
I am considering purchasing a T3 after a monthly long review of the market - even after reading about the SD Card & screen quality issues. But now I have another T3 concern.
The SII InkLink support web site (a PDA “electronic notes” product that I want to purchase) states there is a problem with “Palm Tungstan T” and support for "low level IR protocol”.
http://www.siibusinessproducts.com/support/index.html
Unfortunately this web site is a little ambiguous and does not specify which Tungstan model.
??? Has anyone tested a T3 with the SII InkLink product ???
??? Does anyone know if the T3 supports "low level IR protocol” ???
I checked the IrDA Organisation web site and their IrDA Technical Summary document does make mention of a “low power option” – first point in the “Characteristics of Physical IrDA Data Signaling” section.
http://www.irda.org/standards/standards.asp
Sorry this thread is so technical, but I thought it was best to provide details of the research I have do to date.
This will be my first PDA purchase and I’m feeling a little nervous about stepping off the cliff. I’ve already selected Palm OS over MS-PPC, and the T3 product is very sexy. But the InkLink product will really help me at work, so I am now nervous again about purchasing a T3.
Best Regards,
OzeCam.
