Hi all, I bought a used Phenom H-120 and I have a small problem. It needed to be totally set up and I skipped the touch screen calibration section during the set up. Now, it's powering up into Windows CE and I can't recalibrate the screen. It doesn't recognize the stylus touch screen at all. When I try to recalibrate the screen in Windows, it doesn't see the stylus.

Does anyone know how to reset the device so that I can go through the initial setup process again without losing all my applications? I have tried pressing the reset button next to the escape key but that only seems to shut the device off

Thanks...Bob..."ramayr98@aol.com"

Ceya,

Thanks for your reply. It let me calibrate the screen. Through the rest of the setup the stylus didn't work. When I tried to use it it would make a noise but it wouldn't do anything. Had to use keystrokes to finish the setup. Now when I'm in Windows, the stylus does nothing. Not even making any sounds when I touch the screen.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks...Bob.

you may will have to do a hard reset. Save all your data to a compact flash card first. try this do wha i asked you to do before then do a soft reset, then see what happens.

Ceya,

First, let me thank you for all your help so far.

One of my problems is that I bought the unit used. I do not have any CD's, manuals or cables. If I do a hard reset, will I lose data or will I lose the applications too. I have not used the unit yet so I don't have any data to lose. Also, since I don't have the manuals (and I can't even find them anywhere online to download them)I don't know how to do a hard reset. Can you tell me how?

Thanks...Bob.

The first time I did the calibration, I thought it wasn't working right. I called LGE and they told me you have to hold the stylus in place for several seconds before it responds. Hold the stylus lightly on the little cross on the screen for a couple seconds, then it should move. You don't have to press hard, but hold it there until it moves to the next corner of the screen.
