Axim Connection to cell phone thru IR

I am trying to connect my axim to a nokia 6360 for dial up. I went thru all of the instructions for adding a new modem connection. When I attempt to dial out I get a busy signal but it does not appear to have dialed out. I have the infrared enabled on the phone. If I go to settings and select beam, I can get the axim to recognize the cell phone by make and model #, it actually says it is "establishing a connection with nokia 6360......" and then the screen never changes. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.

I suspect a IR software update needed
