XP Active Synch Issues - Doesn't Remeber Settings

I too am having issues with Active Synch and my E550g. I use XP Pro, and sometimes the Active Synch recognizes the E550g, and other times it registers it as a Guest, and other times it says it's not connected or there is an error! I have tried 3.5 and 3.6 and both have the problem. I have not installed any special USB drivers thinking that XP should already have them. Any ideas on how to fix this? Has anyone else had this problem? Please Advise. Thanks.

the first thing i would probably do is totally uninstall activesync and the usb driver for the e550 and reinstall them. ya might wanna install the motherboard manufacturor's usb drivers cuz it's possible that mightbe causing it.
