TapWare has told me my Zodiac2 will be in my paws within 10 days! They are shipping as soon as they are available which is a trickle now. I'm not sure if the Zodiac 1 is more available.

Thanks guys for your replies !!!

DrDrew, it appears that in the near future you will experience some late nights & weekends fulled by playing with your new "gismo" - I hope you enjoy the experience and look forward to reading your comments about the Zodiac2.

Now I just have to workout how to get a Zodiac2 shipping to me in China !!!

You want to know what the Zodiac is like?

The Zodiac ( Z for short ) is the best PDA ever made, in my opinion. It has the perfect mix of productivity and gaming, and back that up with the huge screen and the ATI chip and you are in heaven! The Zodiac comes with a really cool Home screen where you can either use your joystick or stylus to navigate to programs. Usually it takes about two motions of the joystick to open up a desired program. Other programs include: Address, Calculator, PowerOne Graphing Calculator, Date Book, Memo Pad, Wordsmith, Aero Player, Music Player, Kinoma, and a Photo Viewer. Wordsmith is a really cool application: it lets you look up things in a thesaurus and a dictionary, and integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Word. In my opinion it is better than Dataviz's product, "Documents To Go" because it can support more features. The built in music player is a great application. I don't hear any of the crackling sound that I heard with my old SJ33, and the SPEAKERS ARE LOUD!!! I must say that the Zodiac's Yamaha Stereo speakers are by far the best speakers I've ever heard on a PDA! But the Music application has some flaws too. Sometimes it freezes up when transitioning songs. But thankfully, Tapwave has thrown in AeroPlayer, which works perfectly, and can do background play! Photo Viewer is an outstanding application where you can rotate, zoom and display all of the pictures that you upload onto the Zodiac. The last application, Kinoma, is a piece of junk. It can't convert anything. However, I've heard some nice reviews about MMPlayer, something that can play files in their native formats.

The Gaming on the Zodiac is superb. Out of the box, the Zodiac comes with StuntCarExtreme and AcidSolitaire. AcidSolitaire was amusing for a while, but I found myself wanting more action. I deleted AcidSolitaire and started playing StuntCarExtreme. What a game! The racing thrills are perfect. The loose handling in the cars is so realistic! You start out as a rookie stunter, and you gradually work your way up the ranks until you're face-to-face with the duke, the best racer there is. I don't knowwhat happens after that ( He's too tough for me! ), but the game rocks.

The huge screen is a GIGANTIC improvement over my crappy little visor prism. It's 6 times the area of the Visor Prism and much crisper and brighter. In fact, it's so bright I even use it as a flashlight when trying to navigate through the dark. The ATI graphics chip behind the screen can really push the pixels fast, because my games, Warfare, SCE, and Spyhunter run at amazing frame rates which my Visor Prism and SJ33 would never be able to handle.

In the very near future, I'm going to get the Targus InfraRed Keyboard and a Bluetooth Cell Phone ( Nokia 3650 ).
The Keyboard would allow me to type at amazing speeds, while the cellphone would allow me to surf the internet through bluetooth.

Ah, bluetooth. Such an amazing invention. It allows for multiplayer gaming, with up to eight players! And there's a program called InkStorm which allows you to chat with people within a 30 foot radius!

But there is one flaw... JUST KIDDING!
In three months, I couldn't notice a single flaw with the Zodiac. Good job Tapwave.

Just my comments on my new best friend... I named him Electron Zodiac Tapwave, and I never leave my house without him.
