Hi
Just got my Tungsten C. Great unit. I cannot get the e mails in my outlook in box to synch into my palm. Will Versa mail do this?
All others synch fine(tasks, notes etc...)
Any ideas??
Thanks
Dillon

WHen I first got my C, I tried learning how to do this. It was too complicated for me, and didn't really seem worth it. I wish someone could explain how to synchronize email in 5 or fewer steps.

:D I have been using T/C since July. The only problems I have
had concern VersaMail. It simply won't do what PALM says
it will do. Couldn't tell you how many times I have had Palm
on the phone along with my ISP over this issue.
Other than this Piss Poor VersaMail I LOVE MY T/C! ! ! ! ! ! !

Actually, VersaMail works excellent! I've been able to set it up on 5 different PC's syncing with Microsoft Outlook & 2 PC's syncing with Outlook Express.
1. First you need to set up VersaMail on your Tungsten by going to the Account Setup menu.
2. Then you need to HotSync. Your e-mail will not transfer yet.
3. Then you need to finnish the VersaMail setup on your PC by clicking the 'HotSync' menu in Palm Desktop, then click 'Custom', then double-click the 'VersaMail' conduit. All you need to do there is make sure you have it set to syncronize with the e-mail program you use.
TIP: If you're only obtaining your e-mail by HotSyncing, you don't need to worry about typing in the correct username & password in the setup. If you ARE going to be using VersaMail wirelessly, then obviously you'll need to have the correct username, password, and mail servers entered.
Good luck!

:) Thank You Palm _Guru, Thanks for your input. Trouble is I
am refering to using VersaMail at a coffee shop, where I have
access to free WiFi. I have had Palm on the phone no less than
10 or 12 times and my ISP as many. I can send but not receive.
The fault says Palm is in the VersaMail, got this from more than
one person.
I would like to use VersaMail WiFi in a coffee shop. Should anybody figure this one out. Well you are one smart Techie.
I can access my e-mail at a coffee shop by going to my ISP
home page. However VersaMail will not work.
Have A Great Weekend ! ! ! !

Palmguru,
Thanks for the advice. I've managed to sync my handheld with Outlook, so that new messages on Outlook go to my Tungsten C. But can you tell me how to sync old, saved email messages from my Outlook to the Tungsten? I have old, read messages from my inbox, and from a different folder, that I would like to transfer as well.
Thanks.
