Of course a lot depends on what bit rate you encode your music in the first place. I tried it on a low variable bit rate using CDEX (which is free). The results were pretty good I thought. I could easily get more than 3 CDs worth of music onto a 128MB MM Card.

I found that the default volume setting is EXTREEMLY LOUD, so turn it right down before putting the ear plugs in your ears. :p

While I am hearing music, can I turn off the display to save battery time?

yes.

Sounds as good as any sony I've had.

The display automatically turns off after a short time. It's great because it saves your battery.
