Notepad & Battery strength

I upgraded from a M515 (fried it with static discharge) to the E. The first sync transferred all of my files and apps. I had to update the Avantgo version but everything else transferred well. However, I cannot get the notepad to work. I keep receiving the error message "The application cannot be launced because it is missing localization information." The canned responses from Palm have not been helpful. Anyone else having a problem with notepad?
As a secondary issue, I notice that many people have been reporting battery duration issues. Is there a way to see what % of the battery is left other than guessing from the picture of the battery on the applications screen?

For battery info try: FileZ, Batmon, or Battery Graph. All of these will give you a percent number for your battery.

The notepad on the E is slightly different than its predecessors because the OS is now 5.2x. Try uninstalling it on your E and then using the install disk to install the new version. If you can't uninstall it, just try installing over it.
