I want regular Grafitti back. Does anyone know how I might accomplish that? Otherwise, I love the new E. dwest 11-07-2003, 04:48 AM Try jot from www.cic.com. I think you can set it to use graffiti. BTW Jot is the product Palm licensed as Graffiti2 but it works better than graffiti on my E. Also, give fitaly stamp 3 a serious look. I know it seems goofy and feels difficult at best for the first hour of practice but I am up to 35WPM now! With a little more practice, I'll be at 50WPM. HTH DW RDaneel 11-07-2003, 10:01 AM Here's an article on how to Replace Graffiti 2 with Graffiti 1. http://www.palminfocenter.com/view_story.asp?ID=5830 Dean Telyx 11-07-2003, 10:08 AM And it works like a charm. gnedc 11-07-2003, 11:12 AM Thank you! I will try the fix! There is light at the end of this Graffit 2 tunnel. GarDrastic 11-09-2003, 04:02 AM You may also wish to give TealScript (search for it at www.palmgear.com) a go--it allows you to start from either form of Graffiti and customize the writing-strokes as you like. gnedc 11-09-2003, 07:14 PM I just downloaded the trial version of TealScript and tried it. I am a happy man! I don't have to dot my i's or cross my t's. I will try training it to recognize my e's, which have been a chronic problem for me. I see no reason why I won't buy this application. I really appreciate the tip! Grafitti-2less in Seattle Scott777 11-19-2003, 04:03 AM On my old Clie 760c, I used T9 Predictive Text Input (the kind that's install on most cell phones for text messaging). I tried installing my version on my new T|E, but I guess it won't work w/ OS5. Anybody know of a similar prog? 106112909 12-05-2003, 07:04 AM Try QuickWrite ( http://www.palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=software.showsoftware&sid=FE621BCC-41CF-40CB-808F74793CD05598&prodID=19093 ). It works like theT9 text prediction found on mobile phones. Adam Helberg 12-26-2003, 07:39 PM My choice has been to use TealScript from Palmgear.com. It's a 200K program that is tunable and has become quite good. It also includes easy capitals by crossing over. Adam gnedc 12-27-2003, 02:03 AM Adam, Thanks for the note. I have been giving TealScript a try and quite like it. It has taken a little getting used to, as my Graffti had apparently become a little sloppy and TealScript is fairly exacting. I have tuned my technique a little and I think it will be a good solution to my Grafitti 2 problem. Thanks for the post. I have used FileZ and TealMover. I have looked at the ROM of a Visor Neo, Visor Edge, M100 and a M505. And, they are not there. What am I missing. Jim gnedc 02-05-2004, 12:59 AM Thanks for tip. It is very helpful. gnedc alfons 02-08-2004, 10:36 AM I am a Palm user since three years, M100, TungstenT. With my TungstenE (I didnīt like the Ts slider) came Grafitti2. Initially, I was having my problems and I even went back to Grafitti1. Then I had my device exchanged, for several reasons, Grafitti recognition was one of them, although bad recognition as a hardware problem is seldom. On my new device, recognition is good. Grafitti2 is having advantages, and it is having the future. For several Grafitti2 problems, there are solutions you can find out (for example writing the period after an "l" lower in the grafitti area, so that the "l" doesnīt turn into a "t"). Last but not least: PalmOne says, third party not OS5 compatible software can cause recognition problems. Meanwhile, I write as fast in Grafitti2 as I did in Grafitti1. Many of Grafitti1īs strokes work with Grafitti2. PDA Street
