PEG-T675C Beamer won't work!

I just bought above in Europe, which apparently is exactly the same as the T-665C. But can't get the beamer to work!! In preferences/general, the beam receive is ON, and in preferences/connection, IR to a PC/handheld says "connect to: PC" (no other locical choice) and "Via: Infrared". I am baffled!

I searched the category, and the soft reset worked for me, too!
