Has anyone had problems with the power usage on these machines? I am using Battery Pack 2002 and when I first installed it, it indicated about 3hr 40 minutes power as a maximum after a charge. Now I get about 2hr 20 minutes and last night, after about 15 minutes usage, I got a "battery low" warning and it read 1% power left. I then connected it to the mains supply and it immediately jumped to 80% and then the fully charged light came on after another 10 minutes. It now reads 2hr 55 minutes.
It also switches itself on at random and occasionally freezes and has to be soft rebooted.
Before I try and get PC World in the UK to look at it (an impossible task) is this "normal" for this machine? It is only a month old.
Thanks.

i had this problem and what solved it was to let it charge all the way up and then leave it plugged in. turn it on and wait til you get a full battery meter then ya can unplug it. if that doesn't work then you might need to leave it plugged in for 2-3 hours after the green led comes on to retone the battery.

Thanks for that, will give it a go. The power level certainly appears to be erratic!!

Just to add to the confusion, last night I downloaded the BIOS update #2 for the E310 from an earlier thread and the power reading was 2hr 55mins before the upgrade and 3hr 35mins straight after. Is this just a coincidence or what? Comments?

yeah that happens with battery pack. basically what it tries to do is to learn how you use your pocket pc and gauge the time left by that.
