M130 Cradle Sync issue

Can anyone help when I sync to my pc (and this happens with both a USB or Serial cradle) if I press the button on the cradle it cannot sync the first time and says device is in use. If you click on screen it works and then the button will work from then on until the palm is removed from the cradle and it all starts again.

Is there any setup I have missed to correct this

for as far as i'm aware ther are only two thing that can stand in the way
1st a portable keyboard program could be cabaple to make an error, if you happen to have support for a portable keyboard installed try disabling (deleting) it and go on from there
2nd IR communication can (maybe god knows why, i don't) block of the serial interface (ah IR is serial too, maybe that's why). Stupid quetsion: do you have selected Cradle/Cable in the hotsync screen, and Serial in the Preferences -> Serial/IR menu?

if that's not it i don't know it (for now)
