I've been a Psion fan for many years and pretty good at most of the apps but cannot work out how to upload ALL the information I have in my Contacts file with MS Outlook - half the fields don't seem to make it across. Any ideas - have tried looking in Current view in Outlook to change the fields, but amobviously doingit wrong... advice anyone?

Which fields in particular are not making it across? Any field that you add in Contacts will not be synced but all the standard fields should translate correctly.

One issue that always comes up is the home e-mail address. PsiWin help does not make it clear that only the Email3 field in Outlook will be synced to the Home E-Mail field in Contacts.

Thanks for this - I'm actually trying to move all my contact info (using most of the available Psion contacts fields) on to Outlook Contacts so that I can then move them into my brand new Sony UZ50 - what's frustrating is that I think the info IS going across, but doesn't show on the detailled card view and when I download to the Sony, only part of the info travels across. If there was another way to pass the info directly without using MS Outlook, that'd be ideal....

Well, now I'm more confused. Exactly what fields are not being transferred to Outlook from your Psion? When you say "I think the info IS going across", what does that mean? When you say "when I download to the Sony, only part of the info travels across", are you saying that some fields that DO show up in Outlook don't get transferred to the Sony?

I use a Sony T665 and a 5mx. There are some fields that exist in one unit but not the other and both are different from the fields in Outlook. I need to know EXACTLY what fields you're missing and where so I can tell if this is normal or if it's something that can be fixed.

You can export your contacts from the Psion as vCards and then import the resulting file into Outlook. The problem is that vCard also doesn't export all the information so I don't think you'd like the results. It's also possible to use a program called C2F to create a CSV file that can be imported into Outlook. If you don't have extensive experience with CSV files and field mapping, I think this would be another exercise in frustration. Outlook syncing is by far the best option.
