(a newbie question)

Hi,

I'v read the instructions on the http://www.psionteklogix.com/teknet/pdk/netbook-pdk/downloads/UK/readme.txt
page a few dozen times. I'v done everything to the point where I unploug all power sources (main, backup and external) from my psion. The next step "open psion after 15 seconds) should get me in to a situation where my psion asks for a bootable cf card. IT doesn't happen.

The Psion just opens as a "newly" bought Psion, with all the basic programs.
It newer asks for the card.

Should I try to empty the basic memeory from my Psion. I've brobably just forgotten something...

best regards,
Lauri

Which model of Psion do you have? Those instructions will be for the netBook only (possibly netpad too). They won't work for the Series 7 which has its OS built into ROM.

The only other Psion which loads an OS from a CF card would be the Series 5mx Pro.

Hi,

it does seem, that I have a Series 7 which, in fact, does load it's OS from ROM. So am I stuck with this old system forever?

The old system works fine, but I'm looking for a way of getting my lucrent (orinoco, or something) wlan card working.

Naturally if there would be any way of installing somekind of support for the ethernet for example through some other installable the new version of the OS could be left out. But still, it would seem fun to upgrade it...

Thanks, for a really really fast reply :)

regards,
Lauri

Hmm, I believe, if series 7 isn't aliasd netbook then I'm on the wrong, topic. Thank you very much for the help. I'll move to the series 7 group.

Thanks.
