Music without a headphone / sample rate

Hi folks!

- Can I hear mp3-sound with the integrated loudspeaker? If yes, how good is the quality?

- Can I play mp3-files of any sample rate?

Yes and yes. The internal speaker is a little too quiet and a little to little IMHO. However, you can get mini speakers, plug them in, and voila!

The included RealOne player uses the desktop RealOne player (run them both at the same time) to sync the files directly to the SD/MMC card. However, it only allows bit rates from 32kbps to 320kbps.

The sample rate determines not only the sound quality, but also the size of the clip. E.g.
3:30 @ 56kbps = 1,440 k
3:30 @ 128kbps = 3,300 k
3:30 @ 256kbps = 6,500 k

Beware the battery life!
