I'm trying to verify the simplicity of a solution that I think I have for connecting my new Ipaq 5555 (with Bluetooth) to my ISP. I will have my PDA shortly and I use Earthlink broadband on my home computer, with access to local dial-up 56K services.
I'm assuming I can buy a bluetooth and web-enabled phone (digital) and use my 5555 to initiate a call through the cell phone to that ISP via their local dial-up number.
I guess my questions are do I need to have special services from the cellular provider (like special data provisions)? From everything I've read, it doesn't seem like I need to use any of the costly networks they've set up as long as I'm happy with the speed through the dial-up ISP.
Thanks for any insight regarding this configuration e.g. programs needed on the 5555, specific phone recommendations, specific cellular provider recommendations, etc.
Thanks.
