I've been trying to find the menu that lets you synchronize specific web pages (that aren't offered by avant go). I would like to sync my.yahoo for the movie times but I suppose that the process would be the same no matter what page you're doing..

You do it through your Aventgo account. Click the "Edit" button above the list of the channels you already have. Then click the "Create Custom Channel Wizard". Here it will ask you questions such as the title of the channel, the site URL, and other otions for displaying hte page..
