My Stylus keeps falling out of my palm 515. I have had it for about 7 months and when I went back to best buy to see if a generic one would fit better they told me the problem was cosmetic and there is nothing they could do. Is there a replacement that will fit tight (palms replacements are just as bad)

This is just a guess on my part, K? It sounds to me like the problem is not with the Palm styli (You don't mention how many you've tried, but they can't ALL be bad or defective), but with the stylus silo in your m515. The Palm stylus has two little "bumps" near the top of the shaft. The bumps fit into two corresponding depressions or indentations within the silo, thereby holding the stylus in place. If your silo has been stretched and widened at that end, then the indentations would be too far apart to hold the stylus and it would fall out. Unfortunately, I don't have any suggestions regarding how you would make the end of the silo narrower or smaller.

As an afterthought, it's also possible that the bumps have worn down on your original Palm stylus. You might consider trying a genuine Palm m5xx series stylus to see if that would lock into place.

I have a Cross combination pen and stylus, as well as a Floating Point stylus, both of which fit quite nicely and lock very well. However, I also don't have a problem with the Palm stylus, so I'm not certain that these would work any better for you.

I'd probably try the Cross first - most Comp USAs have them.

I have merely wrapped some tape (Scotch is one) around my stylus and it works, is inexpensive and easily replaceable when needed.

Hi. Same thing happened to mine. I stuck a larger stylus in the slot for a while, then the original stylus kept falling out.

I found that a tiny drop of superglue on both little "bumps' of the stylus did the job.

Hi!

It took 7 months for the stylus to fall out? You're lucky because with my m515 it only too 2 months until it fell out. It seems as if the two pins of the stylus that hold it in its position are much to small and the more you put your stylus off the palm and back they get defective.

The Super Glue on the numbs of the stylus worked great! Thanks for all the ideas.
